Vikings: Valhalla – What I needed and maybe you do too?

Although Vikings: Valhalla is set many years after the later seasons of Vikings, it brings us back the elements that were best about the earlier seasons, plus it has many of those hairstyles that we all secretly admire.

Unfortunately Travis Fimmel’s Ragnar Lothbrok is still long gone so you won’t be able to watch those intense blue eyes as he outwits his enemies over and over, but the new characters aren’t all that bad. Follow Leif, Freydís, and Harald as they make their legacy in a significantly changed England and Scandinavia.

This show is set in a time after many originally pagan Vikings have converted to Christianity, and are settled in England. It won’t be long into the first episode that you get your first sight of blood, and don’t worry, you won’t miss it in the later episodes.

Believe me when I say that it is a show that you can binge today and not feel as if you wasted your time (I did it). Talking from experience, maybe it would be better to pace your way through the season and appreciate the blood, gore, and passion throughout to the fullest.

Although I wouldn’t describe this show as being game-changing and unique, it lives up to my expectations of an easy and fun watch!

Skål!
